The project requirements were for the construction of a new Pavilion Café between the existing Amey Theatre Building and the existing Webb’s House café building at Abingdon School.

Initially works included diversions of the existing services to allow construction of the new building & new external plant areas to be created.

The existing cafe was to be converted to a commercial kitchen with its own distribution board with an emergency-stop facility. Further distribution fed 3 servery areas & a small café.

Main distribution supported the power & lighting installations along with the mechanical requirements, such as supplies to external Air Source Heat pumps, extract fans, Colt system, underfloor heating and the BMS panels.

Top of the range internal and external lighting with Casambi Wi-Fi controls, specialist AV systems and IT providing the flexibility of use of the pavilion for multiple events such as a dining room, examination room, charity and dinner events, sports evenings and presentations.

In the main pavilion, pendant light fittings producing direct and indirect lighting, enhancing the Glulam beams, providing a fantastic ambiance to match the occasion.

We are very proud to have been involved in a project like this, collaborating with other local companies to provide a magnificent, sustainable and environmentally friendly facility, for use for many years to come.
