Our work in the Scientific industry
We have been fortunate to work at Harwell and Chilbolton sites with UK Research Innovation (UKRI) and Scientific and Technology Facilities Council (STFC).
Their mission is to deliver world-leading national and international research and innovation capabilities and through those, discover the secrets of the Universe.
Within these innovation campuses at Harwell and Chilbolton we carry out electrical projects support in fundamental research in astronomy, physics, computational science and space science.
Working in such a diverse campus requires a lot of care and attention to our surroundings, daily challenges and organisation play a key role in the day-to-day task and projects.
The projects undertaken can range from remedial works, PAT testing, new distribution, containment, Fire alarm, data, lighting and power in various buildings across the campus.
Along with formal electrical qualifications, all our operatives are registered with Sparksafe to be able to work on site and have basic online training including radiation and fire alarm drills which are all site specific.
We are currently working on a mains infrastructure project and fibre optics cabling linking buildings across the campus to ensure future proofing and major upgrades to bring the buildings up to date with current regulations.
